About US

We are the new media

PDX Real seeks the nuanced truth no matter where it takes us. We provide honest, community-led reporting with a common-sense moderate perspective. We challenge our readers to stay informed, to fight off apathy and hopelessness, and to get involved in saving their own communities. Our channel is nimble and often breaks news before our legacy partners. We receive a regular flow of information from anonymous whistleblowers in our state. We expose corruption and shine light on ineffective and corrupt governing. Our efforts have not only shifted public policy, but also our reporting has been instrumental in multiple key elections. We have influenced the local legacy media to focus on stories of interest we have unearthed. Our channel and volunteers have also organized townhalls, press conferences, public testimony, assisted campaigns and planned community events.

Angela Todd

Angela Todd, the voice at PDX Real, provides refreshing, frank commentary mixed with magnetism, Midwest hospitality, and a touch of a fearless rebel heart. In her youth Angela was introduced to politics by her father. She recalls being woke before dawn on election day to work at the polls from 6am to 6pm. Angela is a Daughter of the American Revolution descended from her Mother’s side. Her renaissance soul led her to Portland in 1996, where she developed herself in creative pursuits in writing, marketing, music and interior design. In 2016 as Portland’s declining livability began to impact their new neighborhood, Angela and Jeff began to learn about local governing and politics to advocate for better community. That desire to make improvement, led Angela to see her part in the problem and eventually to realize her newest pursuit would be educating others to find their voice and their light. Angela’s seemingly unrelated life pursuits, gifts and skills appear to be perfectly kismet as PDX Real has grown at rapid pace and captured the attention of Portlanders, Oregonians and beyond.

Jeff Church

Raised in Montana, Jeff Church learned how to shoot at a young age, dropping a jogging bull elk from 350 yards with his father’s Winchester Model 70 .270 when he was 14. He came out to Portland in 1993 to play guitar in blues, rock, and cow punk bands. Having a little more snark than Angela because of his love of Hunter S. Thompson and PJ O’Rourke, Jeff writes from his perspective of distrusting big government, big media, and big pharma. Jeff has a penchant for connections and dates. He is committed to reason and convinced that our governing and oversight needs a transformation to restore order and bring prosperity.
